We're already half way through the Summer and we're asking ourselves what happened to July & August! Yet, while we and many of our member societies have been enjoying a break for the Summer, we have not bee idle and have a number of upcoming events in Autumn 2025!

AGM
Our AGM is set for Saturday 18th October 2025 in Maghera where we’ll be hosted by the MHETT Maghera History, Education & Tourism Trust. Our AGM is an important opportunity to have your say in the future of the Federation for Ulster Local Studies, so come along with your news and ideas! We want to know how we can help you and your society!
Have your say at our AGM followed by a talk, lunch and a walking tour of Maghera (weather permitting!) As always it’s free to attend but please RSVP on our website to book a place! https://www.ulsterlocalstudies.org/event-details/fuls-agm-2025
We’re also always on the look out for volunteers- would you like to be a committee member and help shape local history in Ulster? We’d be keen to hear from you, particularly if you’re from counties Antrim, Armagh, Fermanagh, Cavan or Monaghan. Get in touch with the committee via info@ulsterlocalstudies.org to express your interest and for more information!
50th Anniversary
2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the Federation for Ulster Local Studies and to mark this milestone we've organised a celebratory lunch at Parliament Buildings Belfast- with the date set for Saturday 8th November 2025.

This will include a 4-course lunch, tour of Parliament Buildings, followed by speeches and talk on local history in Ulster in the Great Hall. The full programme details and menu will be issued over the coming weeks with tickets set at £50- if you'd like to keep up to date with 50th anniversary, RSVP to our event (link below).
It's sure to be a fantastic event to celebrate local history in Ulster!
News? Get in touch!
If you have an event or news you'd like to share with the wider FULS family please get in touch via email (info@ulsterlocalstudies.org) or on our new Facebook! We're always glad to hear from our members!
